I totally agree, an all time CLASSIC. 47 years and still as fresh as in 66.

I agree! It gives me a lump in my throat every single time I hear it.

Thank you Tom for bringing back the music of the Left Banke! It brings me pure joy to hear it live!
@JBCo20126 жыл бұрын
audiovidya Tom ain’t bringing nothing back. He was a very minor player in the Left Banke and he remains a minor sub tweet sub footnote. He actually thinks Rickie Lee Jones (who I was a fan of early in her career btw) dreadful version of WAR was worthy. Meh Ik feh

This will never, ever, get old. It's been captivating for 45 years, and is even more so today.

That was awesome, love that song, I got to hear Brad Delp do a cover of this song at a reunion show of his first band called the monks, his voice sounded so good it almost sounded like the original, one of my favorites

These guys reunite. 40 year later, or whatever. And put ANYTHING on the charts today to pathetic shame. A tribute to them. A condemnation of where it's all gone...

Caught their Act and Met the Band in Pensacola 1966 and Saratoga N.Y. 1968. A Manhattan band with taste.

jaques ax This is not the real singer of walk away Renee. The real singer is a guy named Steve Martin. No not the actor. But yes Steve Martin. In my opinion he was treated unfairly. He was what made left Banke. The guy doing all the talking I think his last name is Finn i can't remember his first. He is one of the original LB I saw a interview with him. And the other guy's not all are original LB. He was a Jerk it was all about him how great he was. He could only shut up for about a minute. Google the Real LB with Steve he was Great. Sorry to sound so negative. I loved the original LB.

I don't know if The Left Banke ever heard this but I heard that Tom Sholtz said walk away Renee was an inspiration when he wrote more than a feeling, don't know for sure if that's true but I heard that a while ago

Michael Brown played on "Pretty Ballerina" at the B.B. King's concert in April 2012, but not the Highline Ballroom shows.

Thanks for the info---I know we are losing a lot of greats like Rob Grill from The Grass Roots---never know "where they are now" when you see old groups go back on tour.

Yes, that's Mike Fornatale on lead vocals. Click on "show more" to see the complete video description for the entire band line-up.

audiovidya Mike Fornatale SUCKS as a singer. His late brother NYC progressive radio DJ legend Pete Fornatale probably could have sang this much better.

DealReal12 How pathetic what a disgrace to Steve I would have booed as loud as I could. Steve didn't write it but as the original singer he owned it. I can't stand Finn saw an interview with him he couldn't shut up talked over everyone.
