You still have to pre cut the floor what I did was I took of one of the corners and then I laid the blade right on the edge of a corner and when you walked it forward it bunched up in front of the blade and it ripped the carpet right up corner to corner it would only rip it up a little at a time from the distance between the blade in the wheel but it ripped it corner to corner right up try to take the glue up at the same time it's double hard
