This is the most helpful video I’ve seen! I’m going to Iceland next week and I’ve wondered about these kinds of details. Can you explain about how many stairs it was to get behind the waterfall? I know the entire staircase is over 500 stairs but it looked like you walked much less than that. Thank you for these videos!

Thank you for sharing. When I was preparing for my trip, I really had a hard time finding a basic video that will give me a good feel for what the place is like. Most videos on KZbin have background music and drone footage. The stuff you see on drone footage in those videos is not the same stuff you will see in person when you visit the site.

I am not quite sure about the drones. I do remember seeing warning signs about using drones in some places that don't allow drones but I don't think I saw that sign in that place at the time.

I had no idea there was free parking so close by... I paid for the main car park near the waterfall, doh! So beautiful to see it in greenery (I went in very early spring and there was still snow on the ground).

Did socks and shoes get wet? How do you dry fast?

My shoes, jacket, and pants are fully waterproof.
