Walk for Dog Guides in Kanata- Tommy and Tyrone join the walk May 2023

Tommy and Tyrone participated in Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides Walk for Dog Guides again this year with the Kanata-Hazeldean Lions Club! Thank you to all the volunteers at the Kanata-Hazeldean Lions Club for making the walk so fun again this year! We hope you enjoy this video of Tommy and Tyrone together at the walk this year 😊
Tommy raised $1150 this year in donations and was the top individual fundraiser at our local walk! Thank you so much to the friends and family who donated- Lynn Erichsen, Cynthia and Charles, May Given, Dave and Em Beedell, Courtney Crissey Bierly and Willow, Karen Sanford, Barbara Schultz, Chris and Terry Paulson, a kind anonymous donor, Laura Cullen, Karen McMorine, Walter and Marietta, Tommy Des Brisay, and of course Tommy's parents 🙂
This annual walk is when all of Canada joins together helping support independence by providing Dog Guides for those living with disabilities. We are so very grateful to all who have supported Dog Guides, and continue to support this wonderful cause​. Tommy's many friends and family have generously supported Dog Guides over many years and we appreciate you all so much. Our goal is to continue to help support Dog Guides in their mission to help others like Tommy.
Tyrone continues to be an enormous help in Tommy's life every day since he was placed with Tommy in 2019, just as Adel also changed Tommy's life every day she worked with him from January 2011 to her passing in December 2019. The gift of Tommy's Dog Guides in his life has changed his quality of life in so many ways. We are so grateful to Dog Guides and those who give to help others like Tommy- the generous sponsors and donors, the wonderful trainers like Sarah Clarke and so many others, and dedicated puppy raisers like Tony Whyte who raised Tyrone!
