I've never explored the south side of Kyoto Station.
So I walked from Kyoto Station for about 30 minutes.
I started walking at Kyoto Station Hachijoguchi Exit. (southern part)
It's different from the other Kyoto Tower side. （northern part)

Nice walk tomoko nice along the flowing Kamo river nice!!! We loved Gion area and we had pizza at a restaurant facing the river it was the best pizza 🍕 👌🏻 So therapeutic!!! Beautiful mountains backdrop at our hotel too tomoko!!!! We will go back again!!!! ⛰️ Another team Lab 😁 🏃🏼‍♂️👍🏻 Home made food looked great and to see your friend after 4 years!!!

Once I was in Kyoto. Only with a map I have got at the tourist center at Kyoto Eki… I have walked from Kyoto Eki to Ginkakuji to Ginkakuji to Nijojo and back to Kyoto Eki. Taking the subway - no way ! That would be have been too fast. I have been asked sime times by local people if I would be lost but I had showed the actual location on my tourist map…. Good conversations were made that day. Thank you very much, Tomoko, for sharing your walking video with us.

brings back memorys of previous visits to kyoto back in the days, not much has changed by the look of it ;) *although there seems to be a lot of new residential development in the southern side of the station

Oh, I just reviewed my photos, and there was no cherry blossom in Tofukuji because the cherry trees were cut down in 14th century. 🥺
