I'm starting the camino this Friday and I'm curious if you stayed in private single rooms or in communal sleeping rooms. I like people but I'm a light sleeper and I'm concerned that communal sleeping is going to be difficult for me. Thanks in advance for your response.

I planned my rooms ahead on booking.com for the most part. I have sleeping issues too so I had a private room at every stop except in one place. I shared a house with a few people but had my own room. I’m so excited for you it’s the greatest experience. Which path are you doing? I’m happy to help.
