These songs are a testimony of a relationship; a real and strong connection with the Lord. Those modern "7-11" songs (7 words that repeat 11 times) require nothing to sing them. The singer can sing them off the top of their head without giving any thought or putting their heart into it. But these songs, such as 'Walk in the Light' can only be sung by someone who walks in the Light of the World, Jesus Christ, and who sings it from their heart.

I'm watching this clip.on KZbin. Got me thinking about my church I grew up in. My mom use to lead this song. She's in Heaven now. Sense septembet 8, 2001, passed two days before my little brother Birthday on the 10th of September. I'm in tears, I really miss her and these songs in church. This is a great video. I was blessed to see the Barlett sisters singing along. I am a caucasion man who lives in Canada. A few years ago Holy Spirit untroduced me to this great music style. It is very beautiful and righteous. I love to see our cultures worship together because I know it would please our Father so much and I am a guy that really, really, likes to please my Father. I had prayed about racism and asked Father why He created us different colours and why He made us so stupid. He was really happy to tell me that I was actually wrong in my beliefs. "I did not make you different colours, I just made you stupid," he replied. He was smiling when he said that. I could hear it in His voice. So I got on the internet and found a source of dermatological information and sure enough, there is only one human skin pigment. it is called melanin. SURPRISE !!!!!! WE'RE ALL THE SAME COLOUR !!!!!! I do not deny any of my ignorance, judgements, hatreds or unkindnesses that I have exposed to others in my behavior. I renounce, refute and refuse all the ideas, theories, reactions and thoughts that support the demonic doctrines of racism. I resist you satan and I say "May the Lord rebuke you." I apologize to all that I even might have caused pain. Before the Holy Spirit of God and all my fellow man, I confess my failure I ask for forgiveness from you all. I ask forgiveness from my Father. I am a sorry sad sack that's for sure. I am sorry. Amen. It was just after my prayers about racism that Father led me to the Bartlett Sisters ministry, Lee Williams, Albertina Walker, James cleveland, and many others that use this style of music to express their love of Jesus. I've been researching the history of your music also and I have listened to many blessed performances thereby. I just think it is very well done Thank you Ya know I love ya, right? I don't know if it was 2 Tim 1:10 but at some point after reading 2 Tim 1, I started singing this song. I'm thankful to God I found it so quickly online. Stirs my soul for good just to honor Jesus in this song by signing His name. Thank You Lord for Your goodness and power. I wanted to close my eyes but couldn't stop seeing Macerick City in this video...the set up was so similar with the organ and piano with people singing all around. Love how there's nothing new under the sun so this style of worship came back (although I wasn't saved when this video came out so I had never seen prep people worship like this until about a decade ago).
