This one eyed centipede is wreaking havoc in the tunnels. Here's how to defeat him. When he lunges at you, get out of the way. He'll open his eye. When he does, shoot a missile at his open eye. Do this a few times until he dies. If you take too long, he'll retreat to a tunnel elsewhere in Brinstar, so you'll have to look for him. When you find him, he'll be completely healed. If you manage to kill the cyclic centipede, you'll be rewarded with the Charge Beam ability.
