Another awesome lesson. Never pegged this song for sounding good on the uke. LOU!! Been thinking of trying to play Lou's Hooky Wooky or Paranoia in E on uke, to see how that sounds. Anyways, the chords are super easy on this one, but that's a new strum pattern there that I need to learn, it's the same one that's used in 'Space Oddity' and for 'Something', right? I always learn something, even from the beginner songs, thanks Tyler.

Yeah I use something really similar in space oddity, there is a little more movement in space oddity but the bulk of it is something like that. I heard this song on the radio the other day and I always listened to the bass but for some reason the rhythm guitar caught my ear and I thought, "man that would sound fantastic on the Ukulele," and so far it has been fairly well received. I wish I knew a bass player close to really rock it out. Always happy to help, happy to hear that you are still learning with us, and as far as Lou goes I am thinking maybe a little "Perfect Day," in the future...

Hi Kevin. How do you count that strum pattern. Thanks

it was a bit hard to get the chords right to the text for me. One question, when do you change chords here to spice up (STrumming is D D DU UDUDU and you split it right?: C D Plucked her eyebrows on the way F D Shaved her legs and then he was a she She says ....from C to the D for example...is it D D (Plucked her legs, C Chord) and DU UDUDU (eyebrows on the way for D Chord). Can you tell you to count 4/4 beat with this strumming? I hope my questions are not to confusing ;-)
@TenThumbsProductions10 жыл бұрын
Usually when I do that part right there I just go on the D DU for each chords so C would be D DU than D DU than F D DU and the D chord would be D DU, and you would count that down as 1, 2, 3 and 4 with the U being and so It would be 1 2& (on the C) 2 4& on the D. You could split that D D DU UDUDU in half but I think it sounds better with that change. Is that clear? Hope that helps if it doesn't clear things up let me know and I can try again. Thanks for watching Marko.

TenThumbs Productions Thanks, that helped and if watching the video again, I think you can choose if D D D D or D DU....or even D DUDU (DUDU faster)
@TenThumbsProductions10 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, that is the idea. Just as long you keep it two beats you can really do whatever you want. Cheers Marko.

Hi Mister TenThumbs ! Thanks for this cool strumming tutorial ! I used it for a cover of the song. I quoted your video on an article on the website of our ukulele club describing our cover of the song with a ukulele orchestra. Thanks for noticing me if this quote is okay for you or i you mind :-) top5.re/wordpress/?p=388 Thanks for your tutorials !
