I LOVE those dancers. I love the contact improv elements they integrated into the dancing. Conveyed the passion of the piece so well, I just can't handle it.

i'm with you mostly although I didn't care for this video at all. I love all their other music videos but this one just wasn't very fun and it didn't really seem to have concept or idea to it to replace that and the editing was also kind of jumpy imo. A far cry from the quality i've come to expect from a WTM video.
@zombieedrea6 жыл бұрын
I think they're going through a transitional period in their lives, so the videos make sense for the songs. I know what you mean though, I do love their silly, carefree videos. The new album is a bit more serious (on a few tracks), but I think that's because Nick went through a lot while recording it.
@AdamMacleod836 жыл бұрын
zombiedrea yes I definitely agree that they are going through a transitional period.... They are getting more and more main stream, and I think to a certain extent they have to provide something that will meet the requirements of today's chart music... Luckily, they do it extremely well!

the emotion in the dancing and the story it tells kills me. love this song, love this video, love this band.
@sarahvalerie43076 жыл бұрын
I love the cinematography in this video, though I wish there was less cutting from the dancers to the band. I didn't see them for long enough segments at a time to get the full beauty of their dance and I didn't really know what was going on
@ritacastagna6 жыл бұрын
I thought that too! I was also a little thrown by the position of focus in the frame--it was to the right, then the left, etc. it took me a little too long to figure out where to look so i could barely absorb the choreo, which i'm sure was saturated with story and passion.
@alphonsobriga97886 жыл бұрын
These guys have other music I thought they only had shut up and dance and this one lol
@zatchbellgaming34336 жыл бұрын
The editing of this song is actually how it is supposed to be done. the cuts have to follow the beat other wise it starts to look weird. the pace of the song makes the cuts have to happen really fast. along with this there is massive parallelism that is happening with the band and the dancers if you look closely.
@erickalinder3785 жыл бұрын
That's one of the biggest points in this video. It shows the struggle he and the band were going through during the time. Gotta dig deep within to fully understand it. Keep that in mind and than re-watch it and I bet it'll be even more amazing!

this song makes me think of my dog Stevie. We had to put him to sleep April the 27th 2020. I keep thinking about what we could have done differently, if we could have saved him. Wondering if we betrayed him or did him a favor. I keep wondering what to do now and if I'll ever move on. I love him so much. I want to believe in seeing him again one day, in an afterlife, in a lot of things. I wonder if in the end, life was even worth it. I want to believe in something bigger, but given past experiences, I had lost my faith when I was young. I want to believe in something, and even what I believe in, which is the universe and its plan, is starting to seem like nothing but a dumb idea to me. I want to change time, I want to do things differently, both in the past and now. All I can do now is wait for his ashes to come home and keep working on getting my life in order, on track, and this time really work towards my dreams and goals. I kept saying my whole life I'd change for me, but now I just want to for him. I can't stop listening to this song.
@timothypoison4 жыл бұрын
i am a vegan. with that being said you did the right thing. there is an afterlife, it's just this life. that's how everything works my dude. just look at the cycle of water, comes from rain, goes back up at a certain point, comes back down. that is the way consciousness works. if you keep waking up with a smile and take some time before finding a new dog, you will run into some crazy mutt that you know without a doubt is carrying Stevie with him. Keep your chin up my dude.

I believe that dogs are so pure that there is no way any God whichever one you believe in could not bring them to an afterlife I looked at it as bye family members that have passed on needed a good dog with them. Sorry for your loss I know firsthand how difficult it is to sign that piece of paper to have your animal put down. I have work on the back of an ambulance for 9 years and have had patients pass in the back and it doesn't affect me like if a dog has to be put down even if it's not mine. Stay strong keep family close keep your mind busy and don't think about if you could have done something differently or change something to affect the outcome just remember the good times and joy that your dog brought to you. I had mine put down almost seven years ago and still to this day I'll see something or something will happen that makes me smile because it's what my dog used to do like flashlight and laser pointers at McDonald's and car rides it all reminds me my puppy dog funny little quirks.

Here in this room I'm chasing down my demons I can hear them breathing But who knew? Stepping out of body No matter what you call it I'm a kamikaze (Oh-ah oh-ah) Abandon all your logic And put your money on it I'm a kamikaze (Oh-ah oh-ah) Going down with my wings on fire Guess I'll see you in another life (Woman!) Stepping out of body You can tell everybody Mama I'm a kamikaze (Oh-ah oh-ah) (Ow!) (Uh!)
