Gotta say, I think 38 seconds to watch the canopy lift is too long.Id spec mine with a manual opening if it were possible. If its raining for example. Id feel pretty dumb stood in the rain waiting for the hood to do its things. But apart from that one gripe and the one whereby I'm $75k lighter, Ive decided to hang on a year or so and get a second hand gen 2. Great review team.. You both present as honest and genuinely look like your enjoying yourself doing it.. Great job.

I’ve been fortunate to live close to the only USA importer of Patriot campers and have seen how awesome they are. Exploration Outfitters in Durant, Oklahoma can fix you up with one if you live in the US. Just give Ray a call. I was amazed at all the detail and ruggedness built into them. They’ve thought of everything.

Great rundown on the trailer. Love the design of the tent access, much safer and more practical.

Thanks Mike. We haven't compared it hands on with many others but this design really does seem to work well. And we can face it towards any view that we want to wake up too 👍

Great video guys! We love our X1-H, it’s served us well for years here in the US. Versatile and compact, perfect for weekends or multi-week trips like we share on our channel! Best to you in your adventures!

A great video mate, you have an awesome piece of Aussie engineering there, well done you have gone next level and will get to go camping in style. I have an Aussie made CUB camper and it is bloody great camper, we have taken it to some amazing spots and it has never let us down, I am very jealous of the Patriot though, Justin and his family have built a great business and offer a world class product. Enjoy and we look forward to seeing more of your adventures

Thanks Tony! We are new to the camper trailer way of doing things but already can't imagine going back to our old setup. We are excited to see how far we can adventure with our new setup, especially with snow season just around the corner mate 🙌

How would the outdoor kitchen be in inclement weather or when flies and mozzies are abundant?
@jpcaptured7992 жыл бұрын
We normally burn citronella candles to help keep bugs away. You can use the awning and its side attachments when needed or to keep out of bad weather. I'll give them a good test in the snow I think 👍

Great rundown, i would be very interested in how you handle some of the many switchbacks in the vic high country with the X1H in tow.
@jpcaptured7992 жыл бұрын
Stay tuned for the next episode 🙂 few switch backs on the climb out of crooked River via McMillan's track. I just took it slightly wider and turned sharper, it surprised me that I didn't have to take a second shot at any of them 👍👍

Hey mate just a suggestion, you should always disconnect the safety chains last. Incase of a runaway trailer, for any unforseen reason, the chains will catch it. Cheers.

You can't always rely on the handbrake and level ground I guess.

Wow these things are complicated. Back in the day we had an Australian made trak shak camper trailer. We could sleep us and 5 kids with plenty of room inside and out. And all of that was set up just as quick with a lot less to go wrong and a lot cheaper.

Nice trailer but I can't believe there's no ground Jack's for stable when you unhook from the truck
@jpcaptured7992 жыл бұрын
Look, I have had this on some pretty rugged terrain and there is certainly no need for ground jack's. It never feels as though it is unsafe or un stable. I would understand if it was a bigger trailer with more chance of stability issues..

Holding a button for 45 second to lift a lid? Gas struts would be 1s, I don't get having the lid on actuators. I thought the whole thing would fold out and setup. All other features look good.
