I remember being so poor, we had $10 at the end of the year. I carefully budgeted our money, down to the penny. I said, “Let’s go to Burger King and get a Whopper!” We had a child, so we were careful to select items that put us under $10. I got all dressed up in heels, hose and a nice dress. Some people would never understand how special that was, but to this day, I see Burger King as a special place because we were so poor and could eat there. So did I. I was thinking that somebody hit one out the ballpark on this one. I was actually going to write a letter to Applebee's, to tell them how much I liked their commercial. The next day I was half listening to the CW station they have on at work. And I was like 'wait a minute, it's playing way too long to be a commercial.' Needless to say, I'm glad I hadn't written that letter. It's been a very long time since I've heard a song that just makes me happy.
