They are nice but, very cheaply made used mine twice and the boom mic broke right at the point where it swivels. Happened on both the ones I bought had to end up using super glue to fix both they still work but it's a issue they need to address. The frequencies are frs frequencies.

Absolutely! totally agree with you I always refer to them as the poor man’s operator headphones because of this reason
@bigguy14032 жыл бұрын
@@scarbite301 your probably talking about the old ones..we have 5 of these and 5 at the range and not one single person has had a problem with them they work great...as for poor man's set up why would you need a much more expensive set just for the range which is wear most people use them.

Well again what are the nods you are running? Thanks
@TruthPrevails24 Жыл бұрын
looks like ghost hunters, but a custom bracket it seems. I was looking into doing that because then I could have Jen one night vision for a few hundred bucks until I get real night vision and it wouldn’t put me any farther back. If I’m not wrong, eBay sells the part that you need to combine them which is like 20 bucks. Then you just attach it to an arm and you gotta dual ghost hunters. still gen 1 but if you got ir you can see at night. and since right now there’s nothing going on not that big of a deal. Not like you’re going out training while there’s Terrorist out here yet

The radio range you are quoting sounds very optimistic.
@curseofsasuke8 ай бұрын
Every radio has roughly the same range. Antenna length helps, but not practical to have a 20 foot antenna.
@johncadloni45387 ай бұрын
Anyone who has used FRS type radios knows the real world range is nowhere near 2-3 miles. Real world is about 1/2 mile unless it is open fields, flat land with no hills or other obstructions. House, hills, trees, ect. really limit range. It's basicly line of sight after about an 1/8 mile. They are still very useful but very range limited under real world conditions. Just so you know.

Why do you say poor man's set up? Why would you need to spend alot more money for something your using at the range? If your law enforcement then yes but for the range it's great...you keep saying poor man's setup I'm far from being broke and could afford any set out there 10x over and I love these...these are not a poor man's setup their a smart man's setup..
@noahmcdonald52082 жыл бұрын
If you only plan on using them for the range, some people have setups to be as functional in real combat as possible

@@noahmcdonald5208 still not a poor man's set up. Just because some people like taking it to the extreme. Most people don't use military helmets unless it's SHTF day.

I own about 4 sets of sardin and MSA hearing protection so budget wasn't the limiting factor. I looked elsewhere but these seem to fit the bill for some quick easy on the range communication between my girl and I, not to mention loaning out these walker comms to my less equipped friends and family.
@GhiIIie2 жыл бұрын
@@bigguy1403 I think that’s a good amount of the market right now though, a SHTF scenario is imminent and we’re looking for force multipliers within our budget that will aid in defeating a military as advanced as the US’s

I have these exact WT's and the VOX isn't good. You have to wait too long to respond to the person you're talking to.
@johncadloni45387 ай бұрын
I agree. The vox has a very long pause after you finish speaking. You can get used to it but it is annoying especially if you are talking to someone who has never used this setup before. They try to answer too soon and half of what they say is cut off or you get nothing on a short yes or no answer.

It's gen 1. Back when the Russian ELF 1 LOMO was still around you could make a gen 1 articulating binoculars for less than $200.
