Super views. How do the hotels/huts work? Just walk in? Reservations needed? Are they shared bunk rooms like the AMC huts? Or separate rooms with bathrooms/showers? Thanks for sharing!

Huts can be both reserved and walk in! It is recommended to get a reservation though. Mountain huts are generally all bunk rooms, however some have private rooms as well. The Auberge du Mont Blanc had a selection of both.

Don't know if I've ever seen a cowbell on an actual cow. I hope Evan retires that fisherman's hat and gets himself a bavarian hat by the end of this trip.
