Hi Sarah, im watching for the second time. This really is a superb video. Your filming, and dialogue, and moments of painting are so enjoyable. Youre lucky to have a geologist in the family. lm mad about rock. The rock you showed here is breathtaking. lve started to watch The Scottish Geologist, and been on one of her tours. Really enjoyed your video, I know Burghead to Lossiemouth reasonable well. I've been to Buckie too but always wanted to spend time in all the beautiful places from Lossie to Cullen. This video has given me more of a idea . Hopefully will spend some time in the summer as I'm near Stirling about 175 miles away.

You know they say life is no fairytale,....but listening to the music in the background, thinking about your love story, your full time artist lifestyle, in Scotland navigating the coast, filming, and painting. I'm guessing there must be days you wake up and pinch yourself. It sounds magical. And I don't want that to sound unrealistic. I know like many of us you struggle with mental health, and life is well life. But gratitude can literally heal pain, trauma, and other emotional ailments. And your story is really quite lovely and dreamy. I experience joy in watching your journey.
@sarahinscotland Жыл бұрын
I know it can seem that way when watching someone else’s life online. But remember we don’t share everything. Although I do share personal stuff in many of my vlogs, there’s also a lot I don’t go into because it’s just too painful or uncomfortable. But yes I do pinch myself when I remember where I am. Often times it feels surreal. I’ve actively made choices to seek beauty in life.

I recently watched your video and was curious about the book your brother bought for you called “Set in Stone”. I bought the book myself and I’m loving the read! It’s amazing to learn about the geological history of Scotland in it. I live near Mt. Rainier in Washington State, uSA..a 14,000 footer.. Glencoe ( one of your favorite spots) at one time was about 47,000 feet! Yikes!

He’s doing OK. Not back to normal, although sometimes he almost seems so. Each day is different. The other day he wanted to play for hours and then slept the rest of the day. Today he was super lethargic and didn’t want to play at all. There’s still lingering symptoms, especially in his legs, but the bright side is I see little improvements each day. I think it might just be awhile before he is himself. I’m just happy he is still with us 🥰
