LT. Sam Lombardo is a Soldier’s Soldier. He lead his men through the worst parts of WWII with true heroism and bravery and the only thing he wanted was an American Flag. He would not be denied this symbol of freedom and his selflessness of donating his most honored possession is truly one of his life’s most memorable acts. I know his men will never forget him or his name for as long as they remain alive. You Mr. Lombardo Sir are the true definition of an American hero. Thank you for your service Sam and we as America owe you a debt of gratitude for your selfless acts on the battlefields of Europe.

Memoirs of WWII - no, thank you for brining these forgotten pieces of history to our nation now. These men and women who stepped up to answer the call to arms when the world asked them to, is history that may have been forgotten to the pages of government file vaults only then, maybe if someone who decided in the future to look through these files and read each one to discover these people who’s personal stories get to be narrated by the people themselves who bring an view that only the person who lived them can provide us the true perspective of what they experienced. The smells, the tastes, the places, the people whom they experienced this with and just the 7ft deep foxhole that saved him and his foxhole buddy lives. This telling can only be remembered by the persons who endured the hell from up high. Thank you for brining their stories to us! Maybe you helped lighten his burden some too?

I have to disagree. I DO CARE what people say about this country. THIS IS A GREAT COUNTRY. When people denigrate it, it pisses me off. When people denigrate the people who protect it - the police, the military - it pisses me off. When people burn our country’s flag, it pisses me off. The people who do these things, they piss me off. They are the same type of fascists that America fought in WW1 and WW2. I DO CARE what people say about this country; so should you.

You brought up Jim Crow. Take it from a Man who lived through Jim Crow. kzbin.info/www/bejne/laCQi4tueJaSodU Maybe he'll invite you to his show for a debate. Regarding your democracy, I WANT NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! You have read the US Constitution, haven't you? Sema Rox thank you sir, what’s going on here is not the majority, unfortunately the younger generation has been totally brainwashed to believe the Nation is evil. It has a complicated history, but it certainly isn’t what they think. My 21 yr old daughter has been sucked into that thinking also, it’s very sad. Sema you have a beautiful country, we spent five years in the UK when I was a teen and I was blessed to do some traveling, we loved Germany!

I and all Americans owe so much to so few as Mr. Churchill once said to those who are serving in America's Military and to those Veteran's who have served and to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for all the freedoms we enjoy each day that are taken for granted. Thank you and may God bless you all.
