Well tried the saltrun since surf was bad lost a sandle in mud thanks to wind blowing my jig into grass stepped back on oyster shell bed. Blood everywhere end of fishing. Still enjoyed our vacation there. Got a few of your rugs at st Augustine water sports and fish bites bate store

Omg! I’ve done that in the past too. In all my videos we wear rubber boots out there. Fishing around Oysters can be very dangerous. I’m so sorry that happened to you. I get cut a lot when I sink and fall down. Surf fishing is a lot safer. Take pictures of the fish you catch with my rigs and I’ll post them. Thanks for your support.

I’m visiting family next week that have a dock less than a quarter mile north of the 206 bridge. Do you have any tips to catch redfish or trout from the dock/bank. Also, I may be able to kayak out to the oyster flats and try them.

Hmm…the only tip I have is to be really quiet and don’t stomp around. Use live finger mullet on a Carolina rig or live shrimp. Or you can toss 1/8oz jig head with some paddle tails or curl tails. Fishbites makes some great soft plastics that are scented.

Definitely low tide first of incoming and then get out before it gets too high. Oysters are very dangerous there. Good Boots are needed.

Do you need to use a boat to get to that spot at Salt Run? I’m looking for good spots I can get to without a boat/kayak in St Augustine area for in shore fishing

Yes you do need a water craft such as a Kayak or boat to fish the dock I was fishing. The walking and wade fishing we did you just need good boots and go into Anastasia state park and try your luck there’s fish there.
