If I were wealthy, this is the city where I'd live alone, where I'd feel safe enough to indulge a foreigner's splendid isolation.

"llumination: Light sources that are too bright, flash on and off too frequently, and are undistinguishable from traffi c lights are not desirable. One should pay attention to their color and luminance values. Intentionally emitting strong light outward and casting images and light against buildings across a street is also to be avoided. A sustainable approach to energy consumption is encouraged. "
maybe not unique to japan... but its noticeably different to signage in other popular places in tokyo like akihabara and shibuya or shinjuku which are VERY colorful and 'loud'. from the link i posted: " Colors: Original colors are acceptable but one should avoid colors and color combinations that stand out too much and are not harmonious with the surroundings. One should try to arrange colors so that they will harmonize with the streetscape."

Great stabilization and depth of field. Was the Osmo hand held or strapped to you?
