When I went for a visit there last year, it suprised me that i didn't need, or say got the chance to speak Korean or even English!... so many Japanese speaking store staffs! Even tourist, so many Japanese 😅

It's hilarious reading the English comments and then the Korean comments because their comments are completely opposite. For those of you who can't read the numerous Korean comments: Basically, the local Koreans (generally the younger people) HATE Myeong-Dong because it's crowded, loud and hectic af and only tourists go to these areas. My local Korean friends haven't been there in years lol. Many Koreans are pointing out and hating the fact that there are SO many street stalls lining the street, because it makes Myeong-Dong look messy and it blocks the road. Some people are comparing Myeong-Dong to Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan and saying that even if we rid of the street stalls, Myeong-Dong would still be inferior to Shibuya. Just my own personal comment: I've been to Myeong-Dong many times (I'm from Australia btw) and I can confirm you won't find local Koreans spending their time there unless it's for work or they're passing by (Myeong-Dong is the centre of Seoul city). The place is REALLY crowded with tourists, street stalls are literally everywhere, there are people shouting to advertise their store and music is blasting through every speaker around the corner so yes, I can see why locals will not go to this area. But as a tourist, this place is pretty amazing because there are soooooooooooooooooo much stuff to see and buy, and the street stalls offer a great selection of food to eat and they're DELICIOUS! (Food stalls show up at night time, day time the stalls will not be there). If you're a tourist, I highly recommend coming here to shop your Korean stuff and you might have to come back more than once to tick off your buy list. If you're looking for global brands and designers, head over to department stores like Lotte, Shinsegae, Hyundai (yes they also run department stores in Korea). My personal favourite shopping mall is Lotte World Mall in Jamsil or any of the Starfield Shopping mall (which is also by Shinsegae).

Hello, there^^ I enjoyed your video about travel record. I just want to give you some information about AREX train. If you want to go to Seoul station from Incheon airport, there're 2tpes of trains. One is all stop train and another one is express train. In case express train, it costs 8,500won including 5,00won deposit for a ticket. So when you arrive at Seoul station, you can get a deposit back by the machine. Moreover, it has assigned seat for passengers. It makes you feel more comfortable on the train. Have a great day^^

one week ago I was in myeongdong and I walked around there everynight, I love street foods and restaurants. if you are Korean I would love to say that gwangjang market are suitable for breakfast and lunch but myeongdong is for dinner. Do you think so?

You are right. I also like street food. Myeong-dong and Gwangjang Market are very active. Square markets are good for breakfast and lunch. But the plaza market is very crowded. Myeong-dong is very nice to take a walk after dinner. :)

한국인들 댓글 왜이럼? 나도 노점상 점차 없애나가야 한다는건 동의하는데 그건 도시미관보다는 점포상인과 비교해서 정당하지 못한 장사를 하기 때문이고... 사실상 외국인들은 저런 노점상, 포장마차 같은거에 한국만의 길거리음식, 맛을 느껴서 매력을 갖는 경우가 많다. 우리도 동남아가면 야시장 찾고 하자나. 그리고 자꾸 일본 비교하면서 어쩌구 하는데 그럼 서울이 나가야할 롤모델이 도쿄인거임? 한국만의 특색도 없는 규모작은 도쿄가 되길바라는건가... 중국 상해같은데 가면 겉번지르르한 고층빌딩과 네온사인에 입이떡 벌어지지만 그것도 잠시고 뒷골목 상해만의 분위기, 시장 느낌 이런거에 이국적 매력을 느끼게됨. 뭐 중국현지인들은 여기댓글 다는 한국인들처럼 그런 벌레구이팔고 하는 노점상을 선진중국의 국격에 떨어진다고 쪽팔려할수도 있긴 하것다ㅋㅋㅋ
