Many buildings here are shown in old clothes :) They've gone through refurbishments since then. The surroundings have definitely changed

I found Oslo to be an easy city to get around, quite relaxed with some very handsome buildings. Stayed at the Scandic Edderkoppen. Norway's one of Europe's most expensive cities and one of the desk receptionists gave me the name of a restaurant where the students are to save money. The Bryggen was an ace place to chill and I spent forever up in Frognerparken.

I agree with you it’s a nice place and not overcrowded I stayed at Scandic Byporten which is very close to the main train station and right in the city. It’s just an expensive place and that’s normal with all Scandinavian countries (Norway,Sweden,Finland etc) Switzerland is also very expensive place to visit as a tourist.
