I now live in the Eastern suburbs area for the past 30yrs but I remember there was an HMV music store in the sandstone building with the columns at the front on Church st beside the Surplus city store and we went to see Collette in 1989 do an appearance there on a school night (BTW the Surplus city also has been there since 1988) and the old David Jones store on Church St where the Meriton building is now and watched a movie when the Roxy was still a cinema, beautiful building, it's nice to see Parramatta is eventually being developed into a city again after it stalled in the 80's/90's.

Yeah Parramatta seems like the sort of place I'd go and visit now......I think the sandstone building with columns must originally have been a bank. It's always nice to see my videos stirring up old memories 😊 If you've got any recommendations for interesting eastern suburbs walks let me know 👍
