Another wonderful vicarious walk! One day when this dreadful pandemic is over we’ll all be able to walk the colourful streets of Brixton, shop in the markets and have tasty snacks in the neighbourhood coffees. Areas such as Brixton are what makes London so special: a microcosm of the world. Thank you Sapo for enabling us to enjoy the trip through London and enjoying it without getting wet.

A very good documentary of Brixton. It’s unfortunate that during lockdown the vibrancy and vitality which gives Brixton its unique colourful and lively atmosphere cannot be witnessed presently. The streets would normally be full of music and many outdoor pavement eating places and bustling markets, both outdoor and indoor. Brixton especially comes into its own in summertime, where the pavements reflect the sun rather than the rain, and when the leaves return to the trees, the place is a lot greener, for me it still feels like I’m in a holiday town even after being a resident there for over 20 years. Brixton is full of innovation and diversity, its markets, stores and events covering many cultures, cafes and venues from all over the world.
@sanpostroll21073 жыл бұрын
Thank you Jakki. I agree, Brixton was missing it’s usual lively atmosphere.
