Not gonna lie I love Image Comics. Alot of stories are easy to jump into and have their own self contained worlds rules etc. They're experimental and not bogged down with 50+ years of lore.

Yeh, Image has, effectively, taken over where DC's Vertigo imprint left off. I was worried when Vertigo kinda collapsed after Karen Berger's departure. Where would the creators who wanted full control and ownership of their creations go? Would there even BE any edgy, adult-orientated comics around anymore? It certainly didn't seem so, as the original stable of Image creators weren't exactly breaking any new ground with titles like Youngblood and Spawn. Nowadays though, the company has probably eclipsed Vertigo, and is putting out some truly excellent stuff in a list of titles too long and varied to mention.

Just read issue 2. I'm loving this story so far, Kirkman has a gift for creating conflict between rational characters in a way that feels justified.

At issue 9 never been a stan of any comics but this one might be it

Read all issues of volume 1. Writing is great. Inter-dimensional transference is just the backdrop for story. The characters pull us into the story. They grow on us as we read issue after issue. Robert has another winner in his hand.

Okay, that interview actually got me interested where as I wasn't before. Walking Dead and that occult book I bought but never read past issue of the trade doesn't make his involvement a must read. Then I saw the art and was meh. I didn't see the book listed on Comixology when I was looking to check out a blurb and some art. Maybe it's back now. I'd hate to think he's doing all this press before soliciting. Then again Comixology isn't always great about having books months out searchable either. Time to check again. Critical Kaiju true but as of now there are only 4 issues to date, and I highly doubt that like with the walking dead, he would tell the channel what comes next when we don’t even know.
