Holy crap, those towers at Bathurst and Bloor are gigantic. When my wife was in University she lived at a house at Bathurst and Harbord, and we'd walk around this area all the time. I can't believe how much that area has changed with those buildings. There were some stores in some older buildings closer to Randolph that had the best roti restaurant in it, but I think the owners retired when the building was set to be demolished. I feel like this city is going to just be one mega condo in 100 years. When my wife lived there, I was going to visit her and she said there was a car accident outside at the intersection. Somehow, an SUV crashed into the stop n go, but it got wedged between the window and a pole. I'd never seen anything like that, and because of the crash I couldn't go get my coffee and donut from Krispy Kreme! Also, Harbord bakery, closer to Spadina, is REALLY good! Also, Pizza Gigi is really good. Like it should be illegal.

very nice bike ride in warmer weather. dowdy but nice. very expensive real estate. and by the way. Toronto does not have real slums like other cities . even old areas are regentrified. like Niagara and Tecumseh below King street. a credit to politicians and a strict building code. not Paris but livable. if only we had a milder winter.

I'll tell you what's not appropriate is the graffiti throughout the city. Why doesn't the city do something about the graffiti in the city? Do the city officials think this is not graffiti but is art? Only in in Liberal/Socialist Canada.

Most of it is art and has the approval of the building owners which is why it's allowed. I do agree that tags and actual graffiti does not belong.
