Walking in a night bazaar dedicated to the celebration of Nowruz in the city of Kermanshah in Iran

Nowruz in Iran is the annual celebration that marks the start of spring and the new year. The celebration of Nowruz dates back 3,500 years, and it involves not only the start of the new year, but also deeper values like bonding with family and connecting with nature. I was lucky to be in Iran this year for this important celebration and visit one of the bazaars that were specially prepared for this event. Small merchants and farmers that grow a huge variety of goods come down from all corners of the province of Kermanshah to sell their goods, and transform a huge area outside of the biggest covered bazaar in the city of Kermanshah into a wonderful festival. I walked these roads and talked with these people. They were surprised to see a foreigner, for some of them it was their first time, and i was also pleasantly surprised by their friendliness, their hospitality and their excitement to talk to me.
