Krokodilopolis and its nearby region show a high racial tension between Greeks and Egyptians, especially in socio-economic-politic ways. In Dionysias, a native Egyptian property was confiscated by local nomarch who was a Greek and used as a reward of attracting foreign investors who was most likely to be Greeks. That scene I can still remember years later.
