Interested, then check out my Leipzig channel. New films will be added in the foreseeable future!

This visual tour is an amazing accomplishment, complete with the passing sounds of street entertainers and the myriad passages that link Leipzig's beautiful downtown. Makes me glad I've planned a four-hour layover on my rail journey between Dresden and Hamburg (two other cities which you've captured in walking tours. Leipzig is worth spending at least two days of sightseeing in the downtown district alone.

Sharp and smooth footage, what camera do you use, is There any flycam or stabiliser you use
@poptravelorg5 жыл бұрын
I'm using a DJI Osmo Pocket. It's a small integrated camera with a gimbal so it's fairly smooth though the walking Z-axis movement cannot be compensated. I'm eying the new GoPro Hero 8 for additional footage which seems to have nice digital stabilisation now. Usually I post the camera and mic combo also in the video description with the overview of the walk.

There are Black people here. Maybe a few hundred among 600 or 700 thousand people. Most probably temporary. So not many, but you can be assured that nobody will attack you or be mean to you. The City is known for its trade with foreign countries since the 12th century and there are many foreign visitors, so people are tolerant and very friendly. The "worst" thing that you can expect is that children will become curious about you, start following you and ask to touch your hair and skin and compliment you about it, as I've been told by a Black friend :)

Historic section? Especially the US- and the British-Army destroyed the most German cities during WW2. So they destroyed a lot of culture you can't find anymore. And Leipzig was a city located in the GDR. That's also a reason that historic locations no longer exists due to the poor economy during this time of socialism.
@fritzfrischbier13724 жыл бұрын
Yes there are, it's just that the main city center got mostly destroyed by bombs in the second world war. Also, the city was and is a major fair and trade city in Germany, so there was always a lot of change. It has the most buildings from the "Gründerzeit" era, back when Leipzig was one of the richest cities in Germany (or the German Empire at that time).
