Walking in MILAN / Italy - 4K 60fps (UHD)

Milan, the city of fashion and design. We start today's walk at the famous high end shopping arcade "Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II". We see the Duomo di Milano - the huge cathedral in the center.
After walking around the Duomo and Royal Palace of Milan we head up to Porta Venezia and check the garden there (Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli) for some green near sunset. The nice neighbourhood of Brera afterwards has many restaurants yet we aim for the Sforzesco Castle and we end at the Arco della Pace.
A good evening walk where visit many sights of this great city.

When your going thru a area this nice you should consider slowing down and inspecting the details both big and small, I am not familiar with history nor Italy but this appears to be one of the best looking places I have seen in all my youtube touring from home. Some robotic plants and a nice paint job and it would be all but perfect, providing all the educational structures and thier components are in the area.

I understand. I'm slowing down usually just for traffic and yes, better camera work on details could be done here. The videos get rather long sometimes so I speed up less interesting parts with a bit of jogging. I'll see that through editing all the good things are cut together. That's a long term plan. @@poptravelorg Go for non-destructive (no re-encoding) editing if you plan to keep the original quality. I use AVIDemux.

@@technophiliac2282 I do bitstream concat with FFMPEG now yet it is rather tricky - though solved with some scripting. The issue is, that MacOS has Intel QuickSync support mostly in QuickTime. This hardware accelerated encoding from the 100Mbit files to a more manageable 38 Mbit/sec is crucial before upload and works almost realtime for 4K on my 2018 MacBook Pro. When I put an intro before (newer videos) or make any changes, this part has to be re-encoded with the same bitstream where the AAC audio stream isn't muxed. I solve this with splitting video / audio and still have to re-encode audio and mux it again. I should write some article about it to see if someone solved this better. So far I'm happy with my automated solution, though with the huge filesizes it is still slow even on SSDs.The video isn't re-encoded apart from 100Mbit->38Mbit though audio is so I'll see how I can optimize. Audio is tricky due to copyright claims and wind anyways and goes through several processing steps...

@@poptravelorg Your videos have the best quality compared to other 4k "walkers" on KZbin. So whatever process you're following is almost perfect. As far as audio is concerned it's not a big deal given it hasn't been compressed like 50 times. Important thing is production. I like how you use a dedicated mic for 3D sound which is often overlooked by most uploaders.

I’ve spent a few days there twice and it’s given me the same feeling: Milan it's a city without a special charm. There are a few beautiful areas and buildings, but its modern architecture is rather unfortunate and the city has a general appearance quite weird and cold...
