Please be cautious about what you write before publishing. You mention the "Turkish parts of the city" in your video description. There is no such as Turkish part in Cyprus. It is the Northern Cyprus which is illegally occupied by Turks since their barbaric invasion in Cyprus in 1974. In 1983 the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) declared independence, although Turkey is the only country that recognizes it. The international community considers the TRNC's territory as Turkish-occupied territory of the Republic of Cyprus. The occupation is viewed as illegal under international law, amounting to illegal occupation of European Union territory since Cyprus became a member.

I have changed the text a bit to note the occupied part. With these walks I usually write de-facto situations and show also an unfiltered view
@stelioskiprou2 жыл бұрын
@@poptravelorg thank you for correcting it. I really want the world to know about the drama of my country, having taken away our rights since the barbaric Turkish invasion in 1974. The invasion aftermath was 7.000 greek cypriots slaughtered, 3.000 greek cypriots go missing and more than 200.000 greek cypriots violently removed from their homes. These are actual facts. Can you imagine North Korean invading New York city and then claim that New York is Korean and their legal territory? The audacity of those countries governed by their dictators is unimaginable. Also, the people in Turkey are getting brainwashed by the media everyday and falsely educated by their school books, claiming that the north part of Cyprus is Turkish and therefore they are all growing to believe to that outrageously wrong opinion. I wish countries all over the world could keep their hands off foreign lands and let people live peacefully.

The areas surrounding the venetian walls used to be beautiful gardens years ago... It's an absolute disgrace what it is being transformed into. That this was designed by the most famous architect in the world just shows the deplorable state of modern architecture and urban design... If only Cypriots would tear up the concrete and make a beautiful garden out of it again...

Rum side is better. Turkish side is looks oldtimer. Northern side has no any global brands. Because Northern Turkish Republic is unknown country by the world and UN. Actually whole states seeing to Northern side occupied by Turks. So northern side does not have any investment. Then Turkish side looks ordinary.
