Walking in TÜBINGEN / Germany 🇩🇪- 4K 60fps (UHD)

Tübingen / Germany is home to one of Europe’s oldest universities. Tübingen city is located in southwest Germany and is also famous for its nice well preserved old town along the Neckar river.
We start our walk just outside the city center, walk to the old town with the Stiftskirche St. Georg. We also see the ornately painted 15th-century City Hall with a functioning astronomical clock.
We see much of the old town and end our walk at the Neckar river. There are some type of punt boats "Tübinger Stocherkahn" are available for tours to enjoy the view of Tübingen from the river.

Lovely walk through Tübingen! Brings back memories. However, you completely missed the walk from the market place up to the castle! That is a must for every visit to Tübingen 🙂

Daniel, what another beautiful city you found to share with us! Just 26 miles south of my hometown Stuttgart. Such a well kept town. So Clean! 7:45 Loved hearing the 2:30PM church bells. 9:42 Lovely monument of the town here. I was hoping you would point out to us your location. LOL 10:16 Little rascal had the loudest scooter ever on cobblestones. I fear the tires were old and hardened. 12:40 Some of the most beautiful flowers, dripping from the windows. 17:07 It is obvious, flowers love this town/village. How lovely they grow here! Buildings are incredible here along canal/river. Did you walk this on a Sunday. Seem like lots of shops were closed, this afternoon. 32:07 Typical Alcoholic. Woman in Purple jacket, taking a few swigs out of whisky bottle, mid day in courtyard of families and tourists. This beautiful village is filled with lots of young families and children. Lovely church bells ringing synchronous, letting everyone know, it's 3PM. 39:40 Twisted Vine/Tree, a rare find, to see so healthy and mature. Not to mentioned, well kept. Daniel, we love your "Raw" footage, of these walks. Unedited, no script, Stereo sound and no removed clips. Only a professional walker, like yourself, can share footage like this and get his channel to grow, by many viewers, who wants to see more! I hope someday, you get a chance to go back to Berlin. Walk Humboldt Forum Museum, and surrounding area. My daughter, as you know, has lived in Berlin for over 4 years, in Mitte, Berlin. 4 blocks away from Humboldt, and she has never heard of this location! While she was home for holidays, I shared my info of Humboldt. Begged her to please sweep up some dirt from outside of it, and mail to me in flat ziplock baggie. I don't ask to much from her, do I? It's free, too! I just want to feel and smell it. I have followed this construction since 2016. Now I have my own flesh and blood living there, I thought she'd honor it....however, I expected much more of this small request from her.....LOL (Felt good to get this out) Thank you for reading! Thank you Brigitte! The walk happened on a Wednesday. Back mid-October some shops already closed while bigger restrictions happened in November and after. On that day I actually went from Karlsruhe via Stuttgart. I left my luggage at the trainstation before going to Tübingen, then filmed a walk in Esslingen nearby and finally Stuttgart again before departing for Munich. It was a long day with 3 walks. Die Frage kommt manchmal... :) Kurz zur Info, falls es interessiert. So lange man keine speziellen Personen filmt, also die Gesichter austauschbar wären, braucht man nach §23 Kunsturhebergesetz keine Erlaubnis. Es wäre auch kaum möglich, bei jedem Film oder Foto in der Öffentlichkeit, wo Leute solch Beiwerk sind, von allen eine Erlaubnis zu bekommen (die ja auch zurückgezogen werden könnte). Man darf Personen / Gesichter nicht ausnutzen oder Privatsphäre verletzen. Straßenmusiker bspw. geben implizit Erlaubnis an ihrem Bild aber die zeige ich meist nur wenig (auch wegen Musikrechten). Die DSVGO wird auch beachtet, weil keine Zeitstempel im Film und maschinelle Verarbeitung lt. KZbin untersagt. Falls jemand aber sein Gesicht entfernt haben möchte, genugt eine Email mit Zeitcode an die im Kanal hinterlegte Adresse und ich werde sehen, was möglich ist. Bisher freuten sich die paar wenigen Leute, die sich in anderen Videos selbst erkannten...und das freut mich auch 😎

I'm using a DJI Osmo Pocket and a Zoom H1 microphone for the audio. The audio is optimised and synced before upload with the video. Both devices are connected to a power bank for long filming. In case audio comes from the Osmo Pocket it is noted in the video description

Walking is the only way to get around here in the oldtown. Navigating the alleyways with a car is absolutely horrible. Parking, except for a few parking garages, nonexistent. Biking same story. This is the place to loose weight with all the running around and stair climbing. And then there are the bakeries! :D

The biking part you are wrong, 3/5 people here use a bike , and you shouldn’t be navigating the alleyways with a car, most of the time just delivery cars do that.

99% of the people ride bikes. People ride their bikes into the city from the surrounding villages/suburbs/"stadtteil" for work, school or uni. But to park the bike in front of a store just for a quick shopping is hard. You really have to look for a parking space (just like a car!) In the Altstadt it's almost impossible. OK, so there's a "bike street" with bars to lock up the bike near Zinser. (Where the video starts.) But you still have to walk in the Altstadt. Pedestrian zone is taken literally here. And oh, if you happen to live in the Altstadt and ride your bike around there, you get alot of dirty looks.

@@djnotgeil i have no problems with my bike, sometimes in summer is a bit harder but i think that it’s easier if you are a student, cause i park next to the university and do my stuff in the center, or i park in the center, i didn’t really have a problem before, i think is that knowing where to park helps, and you shouldn’t really drive at all in the Altstadt, you should walk with your bike until you get a street where you can drive the bike, the reason people do those weird looks is because we don’t drive on the Altstadt streets, as i said it’s usually just the delivery cars who do, how long did you stay/live here ?
