Walking in ZIELONA GORA / Poland 🇵🇱- 4K 60fps (UHD) tour

On this walk we visit the city of Zielona Góra in western Poland. While the city isn't on the usual tourist map, it was know for its winemaking tradition in Poland. Today it is more a students town. Compared to nearby Poznan or Wroclaw it is rather quiet here.
We start this evening walk in the centre of the old town looking at the Ratusz (city hall) and walk around there a bit. Next we make our way to the Park Sowińskiego with a little view over the city. We head back down to the inner city again and walk around the Kupiecky Street. We also check out the Plac Bohaterów (Heroes Square) which had a monument to the German emperor Wilhelm I until WWI. Since the In the 1990s, the monument is dedicated to the fallen of World War II.
On a little walking street we head back to the centre where we end this walk - right where we started.

Огромное спасибо за видео. 50 лет назад я бывала несколько раз в этом чудесном городе. Там жила моя тётушка на улице Westerpljatte. Очень люблю этот город до сих пор. Вместе с операторм этого видео погуляла сегодня по тем же улочкам, даже некоторые магазинчики на том же месте. Жаль оператор не дошёл до дома, где я бывала. Remember visiting Zielona Gora a few years back for a Anna Maria Jopek concert. I recollect the town being suprisingly pretty with its little statue figures. Think they had something to do with the region being into wine growing. Stayed at the Srodmiejski Hotel and remember sitting having a beer outside in the pretty town centre in mid october soaking up the sunshine.

Hi Daniel, I really enjoyed this walk. Now this is a place I would love to live and work at. So peaceful! Esp between the hours of 6PM-7PM. No matter what day of week. Even holidays, our main streets here in USA is super busy around the evening meals, even on Sundays. 31:56 Was that a Police Station in that Beautiful Building? 33:38 Loved the music. 34:03 The Salon Entry artwork was amazing! Thank you Brigitte! Zielona Gora seems indeed a smaller relaxed city. The building at 31:56 seems a museum and found it on Tripadvisor: www.tripadvisor.ie/Attraction_Review-g274814-d11732284-Reviews-Museum_of_Ancient_Torture_and_Wine_in_Zielona_Gora-Zielona_Gora_Lubusz_Province_.html - It seems an exhibition of 100 years Polish police there. Nice camera. I wonder if jerkiness is cause its in 4k? If you did 1080p in 60 fps maybe no jerkiness?

At best watch the video in 60fps. Then everything should be smooth. KZbin gives 720p60 an option (cog wheel) even all up to 2160p60. Many phones can display 60p in full screen mode these days. Please let me know if the jerkiness goes away

The videos are usually unedited. This one here is also one long take. Sometimes there may be a cut when I had to do things like changing SD-card, battery or even take an umbrella out. That's rare though. One Singapore walk I recently made got some post processing. I avoid edits and post processing as 4K60 requires a lot of time with current hardware. Edited videos may come later once I re-release the walks with annotations or shorter versions. We'll see. For now the videos are straight out of camera. Audio is always post-processed

I'm glad that Poland and Zielona Gora are gradually updating, thriving and little by little there's less memory and trace of the scourge, misery, filthiness and communist misfortune. As for the paceful, the lack of atmosphere and the boredom that the city gives off .... that may not have a solution haha ​​!!!

I agree that it's tricky to make a city interesting. The city in ZG tries to attract some festivals to the area. I was surprised to see ads for a brass music festival just as I came from Guča / Serbia on this trip. Poznan and Wroclaw also have better connections to Germany. I was surprised about a train to Görlitz in ZG train station in didn't know about. Still, not every city has to grow and become a hotspot I guess - it would be good to stabilize and at least not shrink in population. I'm surprised that the video gets relatively many views though
