If a university audition asks for a jazz standard is this an okay song to play? Just wondering because I have already created a bassline for it for another project and it'd be great to be able to use it.

Absolutely! I played "Autumn Leaves" and "Take The A Train" for my audition. This is a very popular jazz standard, and is perfectly acceptable. :)
