Bolero is popular among choreographers, but this is a new take on it. Interesting ideas, great performance

+Tuula Westra The choreographer is Swedish, and I believe he created this piece originally for the Nederlands Dans Theater... so it's not particularly Finnish. But someone should definitely do Bejart's Bolero in Finland!

Mr Inger has such a good flair for the absurd. I have also great memories of his BRISA, set to songs by Nina Simone, I was fortunate to see in the Hague. Intense, emotional, absurd and funny.

It's amazing how no choreographer understands how to properly use a piece of music, (and this includes Bejart). they just think, ow i'm gonna sex on a table or do funny walks/ jokes and look i can use Ravel as wallpaper. Choreopgraphers don't be lazy, don't abuse classical music (or any other piece of music as a matter of fact) as a cheap metal wirehanger to hng your cooky ideas on..... It becomes very disrespectful, and not as funny as you think it is. You wanna do something funny, commission a funny score. You wanna portray something erotic or sexual, plenty of music made for that too. No use to trample on Ravel's grave.....

Очевидно,хореографа вдохновили слухи,что во время сочинения композитор страдал лобно-височной деменцией... Во всяком случае классик обтанцован блестяще...
