Nelson is not in the Rockies! Those are the Selkirks. It's not Kokanee lake, it's Kootenay lake. Kokanee is the name of the land-locked salmon.

Sorry, I'm from Ontario and anything tall west of here is collectively called the Rockies.

Nelson is NOT in the heart of the rockies! And it IS a CITY not a town! Not being rude, but keeping you in focus.
