► Seoul car-free street official website: seoulcarfree.com
Hello my friends, this is Nathan, Seoul Walker 💜🚶🏻🐈
Finally, I filmed a new video in collaboration with Seoul Metropolitan Government. This video can be thought to be no different from my usual videos but I tried to show you something special about Seoul city. There are currently a total of 142 walking streets in Seoul. Today we're going to walk about 3.2 kilometers car-free streets from Deoksugung-gil to Gamgodang-gil in Jong-ro, Seoul. Car-free streets have different operating hours for each location. I hope my video will help you when you come to Seoul, like a tour guide 😉Thanks all!
► This video is sponsored by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.
► Deoksugung Stone Wall Path (덕수궁 돌담길)
Stretching approximately 900 meters in length, Deoksugung Stone Wall Path was Korea’s first successful attempt at creating a comprehensive urban space where both people and nature can coexist. The street was built using eco-friendly materials and the utmost precautions were taken to ensure pedestrian safety. There are over 20 benches and 130 trees along the road offering great places to rest and enjoy the unique atmosphere.
Walking along Deoksugung Stone Wall Path is a memorable experience. The romantic street is an ideal date spot for couples to stroll along and also makes for an excellent cultural walk, being located near Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul Museum of History, and important historical complexes.
► Cheonggyecheon Stream (청계천)
Cheonggyecheon Stream starts from Cheonggye Plaza, just off Sejong-ro Avenue. Cheonggye Plaza roughly covers an area of 2,500 square meters, and is located at the starting point of Cheonggyecheon Stream. The square, created based on the design of traditional Korean bojagi (a colorful wrapping cloth), features the elegant beauty of traditional stonework that is colorful yet refined. The plaza also includes a model of Cheonggyecheon that provides visitors with a bird's-eye view of the restored Cheonggyecheon Stream. At the plaza, there are plaques that provide detailed commentaries on the 22 bridges that span the stream, as well as a number of graceful fountains that add to the ambience of the area. The area commemorates the Cheonggyecheon Stream Restoration Project, and also symbolizes gathering, harmony, peace, and unity.
After the completion of Cheonggye Plaza, Seoul Metropolitan Government designated the area as a vehicle-free zone on holidays, providing more leisure space for pedestrians. Since then, the waterfront areas of Cheonggyecheon Stream, and the surrounding streets have become popular places for those seeking refreshment and a variety of cultural experiences. A favorite of many is the Candle Fountain, which features the magnificent synchronicity of three different lighting fixtures and a four-meter-high, two-tiered waterfall. Along the two sides of the waterfall are the Palseokdam wishing wells, made of eight different stones from each of the nation's eight provinces.

I walk on my treadmill at home with Seoul Walker. His videos are beautifully made and he has so been to so many interesting places around Seoul and now throughout Korea. I found Seoul Walker right before the pandemic began, and I can say that being able to walk with Nathan has been such a comfort to me.

Well done Nathan 🌍🤗...lazy summer days, in beautiful spaces, among beautiful faces. There's something special about the area. You have a similar video about this area as well... however, at the time of your filming 📽️, it's was a little more congested...yet (still), delightful🤗. Travel safely global friend, rest easy 🌻

It was if I was really there, actually walking in my television (if you could imagine). The colour, clarity of the video, amazing! Loved the choice of the music. The babbling of the stream - relaxing. The Car Free Streets are a good idea, They really give people an opportunity to appreciate and in enjoy the city. Good attraction for visitors. Thank You Nathan

As always your videos transport me to another place.....which I need at this point during the COVID depression era. Thanks so much for taking a walk and bringing me along. It is always so great to see all the greenery around Korea and enjoy the water sounds of the Cheonggyecheon Stream! That is by far my favorite area to visit in your videos because there is nothing like it in my area of Texas. The streets of Korea are such a pleasure to stroll through, they are always so clean, and I get to see the side alleyways of the city where all the shops exhibit such amazing character, makes me want to visit them all! Take care of yourself Seoul Walker, and I look forward to the next video. Until next time! ;)

I realized that my country Korea is a good country to live in while traveling to many countries before the coronavirus. Korea have pleasant weather, clean water, beautiful mountains, many hiking courses, 24-hour convenience stores, various Korean food, clean streets, many hospitals, free public schools, safe streets anytime, friendly police, good subway bus systems, no thieves, good citizenship, safety demonstrations, compliance with traffic rules, freedom of religion, mutual respect, easy Korean text(Hangeul), fastest Internet speed, fast administrative services, fastest bank services, fast delivery system, high-tech, famous companys Samsung, LG, Hyundai, KIA, etc. (Of course, there are also some negative things in Korea)

Around 13:00 in the video, the river walk, reminds me of the one I used to have in the town where I grew up. It no longer exists the city did not keep up maintenance on it and you can't go there anymore and it makes me miss the one I had growing up. Still, yours is beautiful ty for sharing. 💜
