Thanks. Another good one. I wanted to mention one aspect of Seattle geography that I think is interesting. If you go up in a tall building downtown and look north, you will notice that starting about N. 80th, north of Greenlake, trees are mostly evergreen. South of there a lot more are deciduous. I'm guessing that's because Seattle didn't extend north of Greenlake until maybe about 1930. The trees north of 80th are the native trees for that region. One other thing I thought I'd mention. You go pretty close to Licton Springs Park. I found out something interesting about that. The name looks English, but I read it comes from a Duwamish word, something like Liiktud. It was a place known to the Native Americans.

You’re welcome and thanks for your comments. I didn’t know that Licton was derived from a Native American word, but I did know that the original inhabitants used the springs.
