Walking The Gritstone Trail: Part 1 - Hiking and History #13

Join me as I hike the Gritstone Trail - a 35-mile route through some of Cheshire's best countryside. Starting at Disley station, day one sees me hike along the Peak Districts' most westerly hills, used to mine local gritstone, towards the market town of Macclesfield. The weather wasn't with me on this trip, but it's a fantastic route regardless.

35 miles is a mighty hike!

That's an amazing hike! Sight seeing in Germany, we walked 7.5 miles each day. We always tried to take a light day the next day.

I think this hike taught me that. Because day 2 was brutal 😅

We did just over 6 miles on Sunday and it killed us 😂
