If there ever has been a late teenager/young adult who ever landed IN THE RIGHT PLACE... that would be Justin. To have so much collective experienced mentors all around him to guide him through recoveries, wheeling, vehicle repair... that is something that you honestly can't put a price tag on. You are like 3 dads to the guy growing him into a wheeling powerhouse.

Tip. When you knock the roll pin out of the shift rail. Put an allen wrench in to hold the shift fork in place. Otherwise the fork moves and it's a pain to get back lined up.

17:03 You should look into PTFE paste. Loctite makes a few different types. I work in medium+low speed diesel and we use 567 every day to seal up EVERYTHING

Agree that would solve it.

On a few oil pressure sending fittings I have used gasket shellac. Not always fun to remove later though. I typically use copper lines not the plastic that comes with the guage kits. I make a coil in line at fittings and pass through for vibrations and msl. situation. If it breaks you can then fold over few times and flatten to temporarily seal it off.

Hay Shawn, here's a heads up, Teflon Tape expands under pressure. Depending brands, different gauges of the stuff, I worked on earth moving equipment, dozers scrapers and everything else, I learned the hard way, I put a couple of wraps of the tape around a water fitting I was going to put in an engine oil cooler, although the casting had a beefed up port boss, with three or so turns it buster the cast Iron Casting, the same thing with an air compressor, you know the type, that go on Commercial trucks, scarpers use the same compressors. keep the Teflon Past on hand, I favor the brand cat dealers sell. They sell a lot of good stuff Mechanics can use. The Lord Bless You and Yours.
@DB-yj3qc6 ай бұрын
Good to learn that, I've had a few rolls that seemed to not seal anything without putting 3 plus wraps then others that seal with just over a wrap.
