Loved this. I didn’t realise it came away from the sea at this point. Loved the stone bridge at 34.34. We went to Bangor a few weeks back, first time we had ever gone onto the pier!! Lovely video once again. 🍻

The Coast Path sign at Llanfairfechan says Bangor is 6 Miles, but it was more, around 9 or 10 so I don't know if they had changed the path at some point. We enjoyed the pier, that was also the first time I had ever been to Bangor, I always wanted to see the pier as I've seen it signposted so many times when I pass nearby. Thanks for watching. 👍👍

Great Video Andy from start to finish 😀👍! In a few years a lot has changed on the walk from Llanfairfechan to Bangor, when I was on the pier they made a really nice sausage & bacon bap, Anglesey is within touching distance now!

Thank you. Yes, I believe they have now shortened the path. I enjoyed the pier when we visited. It was the first time I had walked around that area. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. All the best, Andy 👍

Hi, Great Video. You are just ahead of me. I will be walking the same leg of the path this week but stopping in Menai Bridge before catching the bus back to Llanfairfechan. Watching your video has got my feet and brain itching to get out there. Thanks and all the best with future walks.

Thank you Ian, We planned to continue to the Menai Bridge, and walk back to Bangor train station. Decided at last minute whilst sitting at the end of Bangor Pier, as the next section planned is to Beaumaris which did not look too far,, plus our legs were a little tired. It's another great section, wish we had got the bus, we walked through the town to the station to find the trains were not running and were replaced by bus services, we waited nearly an hour to find there was not enough room left for 5 of us. Transport for Wales were golden though and ordered us a minibus which took us right back to the car. Have a great walk Ian, hope you get good weather.

Another cracking video Webby. I walked from Conwy to Bangor .that last inland part seemed to go on forever.

Thank you John, yes it did go on that last bit, enjoyed the railway walk back into Bangor though, and like you said, that pier was long, felt nearer Anglesey at the end.

I sympathise with you, the path around the Penrhyn Estate is so convoluted? and longer, I believe the Nat Trust owns Penrhyn Estate, it's a pity they don't create a path around the "peninsular" from the point you turned inland of the path by the sea, all around to Penrhyn Port or somewhere by the River Cegin, there is already an iron bridge across the Ogwen river so that should not be a problem, and it would be beside the sea, anyway, great vid.

Thank you, Bryn, I enjoyed the walk back towards Bangor, I did wonder if the path has always been that way, as the sign on the promenade in Llanfairfechan says 'Bangor 6 miles' and it was a bit more than that, so I wondered if there used to be a shorter route. Since that walk, we have used Llanfairfechan as a coffee and a cake stop when heading towards Anglesey, for its free car park and beachside bar, We often sit on the wall watching the sea for half an hour before the trip home. I hope to get back on the coast path in the next few weeks. Thank you for watching and your comment. All the best, Andy

I hope you had a great day out…. Thanks for posting. I am planning to bike that route, (from Saltney to Holyhead), with a bike trailer, do you think it would be okay?
@WebbysWalks2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rich, thanks for your comment. The cycle route parts look ok for a trailer but the coast path and National cycle route 5 go different ways a lot of the time, From Prestatyn to Colwyn Bay there's a nice long tarmac cycle route, Also Saltney to Connahs Quay, The sections of cycle route We have walked from Saltney to Bangor looked ok for a bike trailer, not sure where the cycle route goes after crossing over to Anglesey. Have a great time, I bet it's a great cycle.
