"They will never understand the work that went into it" That is the part of being a carpenter that I love because you know that the people who appreciate your work TRULY appreciate it. Keep up the inspiring work, I almost always get ideas watching what you guys do.

Around the 28 min mark where you detail how the plaster will interact with the other finishes on the mono-stringer is great. The amount of planning for that glass is remarkable, thanks for the vid.

@@NSBuilders Yes, loved the regolith detail on the shelving at 6:00. Thinking "outside the box" (pun not intended but oh well) about how to accomplish a desired goal/look is really, really cool. I wish something could be done to pretty up the conduit at 10:01. It just seems to not fit in with your overall aesthetic sense. I don't have any suggestions and am not being critical, just pointing out that I wouldn't have been surprised if you came up with some way to deal with that. Is there a chip in the plaster at 15:50? The railing detail/installation method at 31:01 is really cool. Can't wait to see the finished product.

With the stairs, why not prime the full face of the riser before assembly? Might be a bit more primer used in the shop, but that middle bit will eventually need to be primed anyway...

What's up with the insulation at the industrial modern project? It looks like a bunch of fiberglass just placed here and there right now. Also, have you considered using the newer panels where the hot and neutral are both integrated into the breaker? I forget who makes those....
@NSBuilders3 жыл бұрын
Existing, we leave it for noise control during construction, it will be replaced with Rockwool. We have not considered that panel.

I used to live in Lexington and had similar issues with the Historical Committee (or "Hysterical Committee" as my builder used to call them) there. They insisted on single-pane windows with true divided lights. Those who can, do; those who can't, join committees.

All that glass in that one Renovation doesn't sit well to me. Looks more like a museum piece than an actual home. Its an art piece where all practicality is thrown out the window. Its gonna be a pain to clean, and its not a child friendly design either.
