so i am very familiar with this area. a few things,yes it is nice to have your door lead out to the street,however you will be vulnerable to breakins and crime. this street is very nice however ,the second you leave the street the properties are very old and run down. the jail is right around the corner so you have to contend with that element. there are several casinos and resteraunts and bars. but, its kinda like main street near charleston, lots of new places but the second you leave that area its dangerous. parking is also limited . in any event at least they are trying to improve the area and the traffic to the local businesses. i am happy to see them improving this area in henderson. i live in summerlin , i am about 5 minutes from downtown summerlin. the expansions that are going on here are 20 times the size,but then again they have the room. good luck on your new place , i hope it works out for all.

I agree that water street is very similar to main street in down town vegas that’s why I am purchasing there. It’s not possible to own a home on main street and that Lennar community will be the only residential spot on water street. I disagree that the area is dangerous as I have owned many properties in actually dangers areas and this place is just old homes. I was there at night walking around with friends the other day and it felt very safe and it’s always so quiet. The police station is also right there. The old homes are being purchased and remodeled or taken down to make way for new property. Someone described it to me as similar to bolder city’s small town feel. The area is no Summerlin that’s for sure though. Completely different.

Don’t you see what’s wrong here? Where is the Church? Nothing but bars, casinos equal crime and easy break ins!

There is a larger church right around the corner and a wedding chapel just off the street. Having multiple churches on the same road I don’t believe is common anywhere in America. However I once saw two churches next to each other in Utah.
