Thank you so much. One of my more calm and chilled walks. Faversham is a nice (if maybe a little strange) place. 👍

Hello, a nice walk. Should you visit there again, if you walk down the Abbey Road, fairly wide as this was the approach to Faversham Abbey, in it`s time as important as the Benedictine Abbey of Christ Church ( now Canterbury Cathedral ) but demolished during the Reformation, you would be able to see the Grammar School, established by Elizabeth 1st, and along the quay, buildings that date to the same period :) A few other buildings dating to the same period are dotted about, but Faversham is such a nice place walk - well done :)

Is there anything remaining of the abbey at all now?

@@walkingworld6441 Oh, I think the abbey was comprehensively demolished during the Reformation, sad to say, although, if I remember correctly some of the few remains can be seen in the 15th century Arden`s House. So widespread an decisive was the destruction of the monastic orders, that many abbeys around the country exist in name only :( Once again, well done :)
