Fraser, I am honored that you watched my video. My idea for this episode comes from your videos taken while ships are largely empty. Thanks for the inspiration. I am also watching MSC. While they will never be an "American" line like Princess or Carnival, I think they will be successful in capturing a solid piece of the American market. They are smart, and their ships are beautiful. We have watched most of your episodes. Our favorites are the report of sailing through the pirate waters off the Gulf of Aden, and your lonely shore trip in Saudi Arabia. Keep up the good work!

Glad it was helpful! Have you checked out my other video on the unique features of MSC? I agree the ship is spectacular, but make sure you are comfortable with the fact that the whole cruise will be done in 6 languages, among other things.

Went on MSC Preziosa a month ago to the British Islands absolutely hated it. MSC will never be able to break into the American Market. Everything was sub par across the board compared to any other cruise line out there. MSC, never again.

I understand exactly where you are coming from, and I agree that MSC will never be an American cruise line in the way that Carnival or Princess are. But after this trip on this ship I think they will be successful in attracting "enough" Americans to be successful. Like you, I had one negative experience at a hotel chain (La Quinta) and will never return. Lots of Americans will be like that with MSC. But MSC is not like that for me. They are more like Walmart, a store that is not "me," but has prices and selection that make it the store of choice from time to time.

People please note that the Mediterranean cruise is not for all Americans. The ship is not the typical week long cruise. This cruise has passengers that joins at all different times. This prohibits the staff to connect with its passengers or for a cruise director to set an agenda for bonding therefore the staff can’t keep up and walk as clueless as the passengers. The food in the buffet is bad, maiming dinning a five out of ten. If you are looking to explore Rome and more I suggest that you save your money and go directly without the ship. MSC when I sailed in America was a different experience this one was a disappointment

I wholeheartedly agree it is not for all Americans. In another video I did on the unique features of MSC I talked about the revolving door process of treating every stop as an embarkation port. It changed the flavor of the cruise more than you might at first think. This is an experience for veteran American cruisers who understand what they are getting into.
