Walking Tour of Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi Finland

This was a very fun trip!

However we found this footage and wanted to share it as it was a nice walking tour of the Santa Claus Village!
Located in Rovaniemi in the Lapland region which is the home of Finland's indigenous Sami people and borders Sweden, Norway and Russia it is a truly interesting place to visit!

Timings as follows
00:25 Santa's Post Office - You can send pre paid postcards here and the price is not as expensive as you think!
01:25 Santa's Salom Place (A cafe) and Roosevelt Cottage (Shop)
02:00 Approaching the Artic Circle line - Passing this you a greater then 66°33′49.2 north of the Equator and you are now in the homeland of the Midnight sun or, if you are like us and visiting in the Winter then you will see 24 hours of darkness!
02:45 Santa's Office - Free to visit Santa which shocked us - They make their money selling you video and photos which we felt was reasonably priced! It is a very professional video!
03:15 Mrs Santa Claus Christmas Cottage - We did not have time to visit here however we understand they do lots of interactive things plus you get to meet Santa's wife!
03:45 These are where all the posh hotels are! We was too poor for here!
04:00 Christmas House - This is where the shop is we found things here not too badly priced, its also where Breakfast is served for people staying in the village accommodation
04:47 Finally this was our cottage - Super warm and cosy and we found it good value for money!
We really enjoyed this trip and would recommend it to anyone! They are open all year round however we wanted to experience the winter. We went in November and found it to be quieter however some of the activities were closed due to lack of snow so that is a risk you run. After this we ventured up into Norway! Hi Ken We booked via hotels.com as they were offering a promo however you can also book direct with them here: santaclausvillage.info/services/accommodation/santa-claus-holiday-village/ I do note however the price is nearly double what we paid at the moment!!
