Walking Tour: Rastoke ("The Little Plitvice"), Croatia - 4K UHD Virtual Travel

A walk through the picturesque village Rastoke located in the town of Slunj in Croatian region of Kordun. Rastoke, dating from 17th century, has developed as a village of watermills on the confluence of Slunjčica and the bigger Korana river. As these two rivers merge together they create a wonderful landscape of small waterfalls, cascades, streams and ponds. Wooden mills and family houses blend into this picturesque natural setting evoking old fairy tale stories. Because of its unique historic and ethnographic heritage, as well as exceptional natural beauty Rastoke is listed under national monument protection and is visited by tourists from all around the world. Proximity and connection to the Plitvice Lakes National Park (30 km away) add to the attraction of Rastoke as a vacation destination throughout the whole year.
We will start our tour with the most typical Rastoke view of the wooden bridge and old houses overlooking the Korana river and the First waterfall, move through the village, visit the estate of family Holjevac and complete our walk on a lookout that showcases the beauties of this magical place. BTW, we visited the village in autumn, at a time of low river level. While the village streams and especially ponds are at more-or-less normal levels, the river Korana itself is so low that you will be treated to a rare sight - it is now possible to see the caves and fantastic rock formations at the bottoms of outer waterfalls which are usually completely hidden by the water.

Volim pogledati lepe reportaže iz Hrvatske,konačno moje poreklo i ljubav prema bivšoj republici zajedničke drzave čini da sa radošću dočekam svaki novi prilog,da budem precizniji, o čarima Slunja i Plitvica.Ono što me je poteralo napisati ovaj tekst jest' zapravo frustracija koju osećam dok gledajući pokretne slike,uporedo ide tekst na Engleskome jeziku? Pored lepoga Hrvatskog, mislim da nema mesta drugom! Napokon , volim čuti svoj jezik ! Nije sve baš u turizmu...Srdačan pozdrav...Ivan❤/Beograd...

Hvala na komentaru! Drago mi je da vam se Rastoke i Slunj toliko sviđaju, meni su također prekrasni. 😀 Niste prvi koji me pitao zašto engleski, a ne hrvatski. Razlog tome je što otprilike 2/3 gledatelja ovog kanala nisu iz Hrvatske (ili susjednih zemalja unutar kojih se razumijemo). S obzirom na to mislim da je prikladniji engleski jezik kojeg danas skoro svi razumiju, ali planiram napisati i dodati titlove na hrvatskom... samo nikako da nađem vremena za to. 😆Nadam se da ćete naći još zanimljivih videa na mom kanalu.
