I’d be so lost without my playlist. My gospel playlist. My old playlists was all oldies from every era of music. They were all great too. Music is a good escape. After I had a new sense in me, that was when I ditched my old playlists. I still love listening to oldies. It was all good before the new age came along. But my gospel playlists are good because they really reach to God and his message. I get inspired when I hear of the workers who barrel through the long hours. The front line workers. They keep going no matter how grueling and exhausting it gets. Faith sounds easy when life goes good. But when it doesn’t go so well, the showing of ourselves in the moment to keep going is the true essence of faith. God understands everything and sees everything and knows everything. So it’s like if we don’t get what we want, it’s not a punishment to us. It’s not a gotcha moment. If anything it’s a learning moment. Even someone like Jonah was protected and looked after and he ran away from God. Peter was protected and he fell under doubt. David was protected and he had his heart on a married woman. See how each and everytime God can work through the bad to make something good? And it doesn’t matter what is on our rap sheet. But he did this. But she did that. God can still find a way. He’s undefeated. We have to trust and believe that it’s for our own good. The only one who can stop us is ourselves. How we keep going makes a difference. Just like Job kept going. And he had lost everything. I mean that right there is an underdog if there ever was one. The devil thought, well he’s only good because he gets everything handed to him. Watch me take everything he has and he’ll curse God to his face. Well God knew the end result. Even when we don’t know it. If we did we wouldn’t need faith. We look for shortcuts but then we wouldn’t have a testimony. Gotta take what comes at us and keep going. Keep moving forward as Rocky said. The Christmas week is upon us. Christmas is still Christmas without the tree or presents or snow. Take Christ out and it’s no longer Christmas. Jesus is coming back and he is the only way. God bless everyone on this Monday morning. Prayers for Israel and America and the rest of the world.
