I had my operation on 20/11/18. The operation was to fix my broken collarbone. Serious , i cried. I feel scared. But then again , after they push me to the operating bed i don't even know what happened. All i know , i woke up and the nurses telling me " operation is over!" I got a shocked when i ask for the time. It was 6pm ! I thought i have been under the knife only for 1hr ! That was the scariest day ever.

OKAY, can I just say something? The thing with the IV in the hand is WAAAY too traumatic for me. And... it doesn't just "sting a little", IT HURTS LIKE CRAZY! At least it does for me, because of my extremely low pain tolerance. I absolutely HATE and fear needles, which in turn means they have to put me on laughing gas before they do any procedure requiring an injection. I have serious trauma over them..... meaning I actually have Trypanophobia, an extreme fear of needles. Also, I have high functioning autism making things even harder!😢 Sorry for ranting to all you nice strangers out there. Please, have a great rest of your day! And hope any of you guys going for surgery gets through it smoothly! God bless you all.😇 EDIT: Holy crap, there's a lot of different needle procedures in this video! I hadn't watched the video through when I first wrote this comment and I was in total shock with where they were giving the injections when I did! 😨 💉 Gosh! I REALLY hate needles!😩

For ngtfh, patient will have to go tower b lvl 2 admission office. The reporting timing for the admission to the ambulatory unit will be told 1 or 2 days before yr date. Once y reached there, take a queue number from the ticketing machine Please proceed to the front counter. The PSA will ask for yr NRIC . Followed by how many days y will stay warded, the care cost form as well as the timing for yr operation . Hp number of next of kin to contact. Y are to proceed and wait at the seating area. The porter will escort y to the ambulatory unit at lvl 3 tower b.

How come they don’t put people to sleep in the OR in the UK I don’t get the purpose of having a whole separate room to put you to sleep it why not just do it while you’re on the operating table seems so simple and so easy because then you have to transfer people and stuff if you do it with with them in another room

Hi! Sometimes it can be done in theatre but it is nicer for the patient in the anaesthetic room as some of the patients can be quite anxious prior to the surgery. It also creates more space in the theatre for operating equipment
