3:00 I think that iconic Empire State view is endangered; a boxy building is set to rise almost directly in front of it and will probably block this angle. 3:30 "Minetta Tavern" amused me. In my part of Italy minetta means cunnilingus.

@@WalkingAlice I can easily see why property here is so pricey. This area is about as removed from the concrete canyon of midtown as it's possible to be. Step outside and you've got a vibrant playground of bars and eateries. It feels like a party town. 'course, some folks prefer peace & quiet instead, but that's not us...

It was great to see my old neighborhood from the 1970s. Nice work. Caffe Reggio and Minetta Tavern were there, but the new covered outdoor eating spaces were not, of course!

Wish the sweet young thing in Sweet Rehab (22:15) had been there in the 1950's, when I was prowling the Village streets on a daily basis. New York is a young person's city, although if I were there now, I'd still stop in at least once a day just to get a look at him. "There's no fool like an old fool," as my mother used to say.

The outdoor eating arrangements could never be my cup of tea, too crappy and messy; my OCD makes me want to grab a broom and start cleaning just watching the video, lol. I could never dine and relax with so much trash lying around and with so many rats looming in New York, I would be paranoid of them running around in search of... Sometimes i really wonder what kind of jobs a lot of New Yorkers are doing. If you see the costs of living there they all must earn 8 to 20,000$ a month. Is a Taxi driver or a waitress earning that much ? Or maybe you have only show stars, sport stars and brokers in NY ? I have no idea......🤔
