I'm going to overshare because... why not? I'm not sure how often the average person visits the mall but I think I've gone less than ten times. That doesn't feel like enough. The last time I went was 2016. It was about 2011/2012 the time before that. I went a handful of times around 2006. My family isn't big on traveling anywhere that is more than 10 minutes away even though the mall is only half an hour away. I haven't gone back since I've been an adult because of agoraphobia. Since I haven't been there in a while but I've wanted to go for years, I romanticize the idea of malls. It seems like a whole different shopping experience. Looking at everything is more fun than shopping, both looking at the merchandise and the mall itself. The glass windows and the lit up signs for each store are pretty. Obviously it has stuff that Walmart doesn't have like escalators and the kiosks and the food court (though some Walmarts and Targets have mini Subways, Starbucks, Aunt Annie's, etc). I like that it's a whole experience. It's like a more mundane Disneyland. You could spend the whole day there, which I'm sure is the point so you spend more money. There's not really a point to what I'm saying -- just that I want to go back so badly. One day, I'll buy myself gift cards for a bunch of the stores there so I have to go lmao
