Killer! Thank you. Nice to see green fields and such. Everything here is cold, brown, and dead right now.

Yeah it almost look like spring! lol We've been in a drought most of the fall/winter so far, then for the past couple of weeks we've been getting more rain than usual, then temps around 70F. Everything came back to life... lol Most of that is winter grass that will die off soon before spring.

Sure made me fell good to see it. Seems like spring will never get to us again. rofl

A couple whitetail at 4:21,pretty stuff making me exited for spring..

Yeah I caught a glimpse of them running back to the woods while flying... lol Had I spotted them before I would have flown higher so they'd hang around for a bit, to get a better look. Hunting season has just ended here though, so I'm sure they're a bit edgy... lol

Smooth as silk m8....Have you soft mounted the Panning camera..?...If so, can you consider doing a video on it please?...I have still got some jello on my stabilised footage but its perfect engine off and gliding.....Great demo BTW...🤔👍😀🇬🇧

That's good enough for me. I don't need to carry an HD camera anymore.
@bonafidepirate11 ай бұрын
Yeah this is surely good enough, especially when you consider the cost/size/weight savings vs. carrying a second action camera to record. Not to mention having it on the pan is nice... lol
@paulnguyen612011 ай бұрын
@bonafidepirate Agreed. You know I actually assumed that you couldn't stabilize panned camera footage, but clearly, I'm an idiot.

@@paulnguyen6120 The gyro that's used to record the data is in the camera itself, so it moves with the camera. That lets it work just fine. ;) It's a question I had too before trying it. It does seem to do a pretty good job not only dealing with the pan motion, but actually smooths it out pretty good too... lol

Noob question: is this FPV footage or a secondary camera on the wing? If it's FPV, is it stabilized like that in the goggles or in post?
@MCsCreations11 ай бұрын
It's the Walksnail system. I believe Keith flies in 1080p, but this recording is from their "air unit" (which is a DVR and VTX). It's recorded in 4k60 and stabilized in post with Gyroflow. It's in the description. 😊
@bonafidepirate11 ай бұрын
MCs is correct, what you see here is recorded onboard in the VTX/DVR unit at 4K. It records the video as well as gyro data, which you load into software to do the stabilization later on a computer. The live FPV feed comes from the same camera, streamed to the ground in either 1080p or 720p depending on your settings and not stabilized.

The video is very clear! Great camera.
@bonafidepirate11 ай бұрын
Yeah the camera surely has potential. I think I'd still give a slight edge to the Pro camera for pure low light performance, but this one isn't bad, and certainly the best I've seen with 4K

Amazing flying and footage, Keith! 😃 I've seen the on-board stabilization, but the image gets too cropped... Doing this way it looks MUCH better! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

I agree, I like the keep the FOV as wide as I can. This one is pretty much stock settings in Gyroflow, but I did turn off the lens correction. It keeps the slight fish-eye but gives a wider overall field of view. You can see the fish-eye a bit during the climb when the horizon is toward the bottom of the frame.

It's a shame it doesn't record sound.

Amazing flight and great moonlight camera performace. I have preordered one, but it will be mid spring till I get it. Your scenery is beautiful. I've been following you for years, but never got to know what country you are from? Australia?

Thanks! The stabilization makes me look like a better pilot with a better tuned aircraft... ha

Was it a smooth air evening? Oh and do you ever use speed effects?
@bonafidepirate11 ай бұрын
No changes to video speed, just normal plalyback. It was actually a bit rougher than I usually fly, note when looking over the wings to the left/right how the plane is getting thrown around pretty good in the gusts. It was a good test for stabilization though.

no colorgrading ?
@bonafidepirate11 ай бұрын
Nope, it's on defaults with the latest firmware that isn't public yet. There's some basic settings like sharpness, EV, saturation, etc. that you can set up different for the DVR and FPV feeds if you like.
